Video

A: Dare 2B Different Studio can take care of the entire production from first ideas right through to delivery on DVD, Internet or other formats. All you need is an aim and an audience.

A: This depends on the length and complexity of the project. Once we have assessed your requirements we will work with you to maximize your budget. Our estimate is based on what we think is the most efficient way to execute your film.

A: Every project is different, but we typically complete projects within 1-3 months. If your project is simple and straightforward, we’ll finish it closer to the 1-month mark. If it has a lot of graphics, custom music, or must go through an approval committee, you’re probably looking at a minimum of 3-6 months. Filming can take hours or days, depending on what is needed. Documentaries can be shot as soon as goals have been measured, but films with actors will need more time to arrange shoots and film with vital digital work or music. Our schedule is also a factor, so sometimes we’re able to finish projects sooner than normal.

A: Usually we can upload the first ‘rough-cut” edit within ten days of the shoot. This depends on the complexity of your brief and the number of different edits required. Once we have received your feedback we’ll create your final edit..

A: We can create bespoke music or source a piece from on-line music libraries. We will help you select the appropriate music and arrange the necessary licenses.

A: That depends on the audience of the video. If it is for broadcast, you need permission from every person featured prominently on-screen (or their parents or guardians if under 16). We can supply you with the contracts needed or take care of this ourselves. This is less critical for video intended to be used within your company only. However, it is good practice to notify people that a film crew will be attending the event and allow those who would prefer not to appear on camera to let you know.

A: We can design a DVD cover and make copies for you to hand out or sell. We can encode the film for web use and upload it for you. We can make a version for you to email. We can also encode it for mobile phones or look into alternative options.

A: No. Our price structure is very simple; what you see is what you pay. After that, it’s up to you what you do with the film.

A: Yes. As long as you don’t re-edit it or alter the credits.

A: We never copy-protect the DVDs we make unless you ask us to (life’s too short!). So, if you want to copy the film yourself, you’re welcome to do that; we don’t ask for any additional money to give you the right to do this. However, Dare 2B Different Studio does offer a competitive DVD Duplication service – so why not get in touch for a quote first?

A: High definition video looks better than the standard definition because the image contains more information. High-definition video, or HD video, refers to any video system of higher resolution than standard-definition (SD) video, and most commonly involves display resolutions of 1280×720 pixels (720p) or 1920×1080 pixels (1080i/1080p).

Brand

A1: The short answer: Our prices depend on so many factors; it’s impossible to say in one sentence. Avoid any web developer who can answer this question without a long talk.

A2: The long answer: To get a better idea of the cost of what you want to build, set up a consultation with us. We’ll ask you a few questions about the nature of the site, what sort of interactivity the site will have, your graphic design needs, etc. Then we’ll be able to give you a ballpark figure.

Once we have all the content (text and images), it should take 12-20 weeks for us to design and build a typical, small scale website of 5-10 pages. The most time-consuming phase of any web project is collecting and writing the content.

A: Absolutely. Our goal is to please you. We can’t do that without your input. If there are other sites with a design style that you would like to emulate, we can do that. If you have a logo or brand collateral that you’d like us to work around, that’s no problem. We’ll be sure your new site will be a consistent and integral part of your overall brand.

A: There are several steps in our development process:

1. Discovery – If the project is a rebuild, we review your current content and make further recommendations for improvements. If it’s a new site, we start by discussing the subjects and functionality you envision for your site and develop an outline for you.

2. Content – You compile all the content for the website, including all text and images.

3. Preliminary Design – We create a home page concept including colors, fonts, image style, and layout.

4. Organization – When we have received all content in its final version, we review it to determine the best way to organize the information. The structure of the site is based on this organizational scheme and must be approved by you.

5. Design Revision – After reviewing the initial design, you have the opportunity to request changes.

6. Implementation – Once we’ve received your approval on the design, we move on to implementation. This is where the approved design becomes concrete and where we add site-specific features.

7. Page Content – When we have all the content that will be included on the site and an approved design, we will enter all the data.

8. Testing – We run through a final set of tests to be sure that everything is functional. You have an opportunity at this time to test the site as well.

9. Launch – Once we have your final approval, we launch the site. This step marks the end of the project.

A: Generally we require a one-third deposit to start. The second payment is due at design approval, and the final payment at launch. Visit our Brand Development prices page for more detail.

A: No. However, we will set up an account in your name with a reliable web hosting company plus have you pay them directly using your credit card.

A: Yes. Every site we have built since 2016 has been mobile-friendly. The method we use to achieve this is known as responsive design, which ensures that the site works well on a wide variety of screen sizes, from smartphones and tablets to small and large desktop monitors.

A: Our audio files are delivered in WAV Format, MP3, or both, depending on which lease you purchase.

A: It all depends on the license you choose:

The duration for each Beat is listed in the details section on our player.

A: Yes. If you own a license, you can upgrade it at any time. Simply purchase the license you want, which will cumulate the rights of your license. For example, you acquired a STANDARD lease (100,000 copies) and then a PREMUIM lease (500,000 copies), you could then sell 600,000 copies of your sound recording.

  2. Click the cart icon to view license options
  3. Select a license and add it to the shopping cart

A: Your purchased file should arrive at the email address you provided within minutes from your completed order, however, if this is not the case, please check your spam folder.  If you haven’t found anything, contact us by using our contact form and we resend a copy of licensed beat.

A: No. You don’t have the right to sell or transfer the rights of the license to a third party.

A: Yes, you can add additional instruments or samples as long as you own a license of the beat.

A: No. Considering the specific nature of the product, we do not offer refunds, exchanges, or take back purchased beats. Since we commercialize digital products, every purchase is definitive. Note that all beats can be previewed in a tagged version via the use of the media player. Use this opportunity to be sure of your choice.

A: In the event that a third party buys exclusive rights to the Instrumental, a non- exclusive license shall expire one (1) year from the purchase of said non-exclusive right or after the pressing or selling of the number of recordings listed on your lease, whichever is sooner.

A: Yes. Using a beat from the Dare 2B Different Studio Beats catalog  can be monetized.

A: The store section our website allows you to make your purchase using Paypal or your credit card.
